Complex flame holders for the reduction of oscillations in ducted premixed flames

In this paper the importance of flame confinement and the distribution of heat release to the amplitude of combustion oscillations are examined and the knowledge of complex flame-holders is extended to a pair of annular rings, a pair of steps, and a disk and a step with axial separation between the flame-holder components, area blockage, equivalence ratio and heat release up to 200 kW as variables.
