On speech compression standards in multimedia videoconferencing: implementation aspects

摘要

In this paper, standard algorithms for coding of narrowband 3.2 kHz and wideband 7 kHz speech for NISDN multimedia videoconferencing (a part of the overall ITU-T H.320 family of standards) and well as for the very low bit rate multimedia communications (a part of the overall ITU-T H.324 family of standards) are consdered. The possibilities of real-time implementations of considered aglorithms on a hardware module with a single digital signal processor are considered too.
