摘要

One of the most important requirements of a critical industrial process such as gas liquefaction is that, following an electrical disturbance, the maximum number of essential electrical drives on the system are kept running to ensure continuity of operation. To effect this, some less critical load may need to be shed to allow more important motors to re-accelerate or restart and dynamic studies by digital computer are necessary to determine the optimum patterns. Some of the problems inherent in this process are considered, with examples of typical plant behaviour.
