The dielectric space frame radome (DSFR) is now an established solution to the problem of protecting large microwave antennas from the environment. The authors follow the analysis of Van de Hulst (1981) to develop a three dimensional finite-length scattering model using the fields surrounding infinite length dielectric cylinders of arbitrary cross-section calculated by a moment method. These infinite length strut fields are stored in a lookup table (LUT) which effectively defines the scattering matrix of the strut. The radome scattered field is then calculated as the linear sum of the scattered field due to each strut.
