The construction of library characteristic database is in order to better play the function of the library in the information resources, and provide more comprehensive information for customers, which also can enhance the competitiveness of library in the field of information. This article embarks from the significance of library characteristic database establishment, analyzes and discusses the existence of characteristic database construction, and puts forward some suggestions, in order to promote the construction of the characteristic database, improve the utilization rate of library information resources and the library's competitiveness.
