To improve the safety of urban rail transit stations, a comprehension model is proposed to assess the safety situation of the station based on multi-dimensional connection coefficient. Firstly, the factors influencing the safety of rail transit stations are explored to establish the evaluation index system of safety situation. Then, the safety situation comprehension model of rail transit stations is presented based on multi-dimensional connection coefficient. Finally, the evaluation index is quantified and its effectiveness is validated. The experimental results show that the model is capable of reflecting the real world safety situation for urban rail transit stations, and providing advice for decision-makers.
