This paper utilizes the truck suspension structure to obtain the cross-section shape of the less taper-leaf spring. In addition, the structure size of the less taper-leaf spring based on the Fmincon nonlinear optimization function in the Matlab optimization toolbox is optimized. Consequently, the stiffness of the less taper-leaf spring is achieved the anticipated level. In the paper, a truck leaf spring is taken into consideration and a more reasonable result is obtained by the optimizing calculation. Finally, the design of a software interface with good manmachine interactive capability is optimized by the model of graphics user interface design environment (GUIDE) in Matlab.
