摘要

This paper presents a novel in-motion wireless power transfer (WPT) system from the road facility to the in-wheel motor (IWM). The test vehicle with the second generation wireless in-wheel motor (W-IWM2) units and the road facility mounted with the sensorless vehicle detection method are developed. The fundamental experiments of the coupling coefficient measurement between the road coil and the receiving coil placed at the bottom of the IWM indicate the design strategy of the sensorless vehicle detection system. The driving test demonstrates that the designed sensorless vehicle detection system works well while the actual vehicle is running.
