To lead the world in realizing CO_2 reduction in motor traffic utilizing hydrogen energy, we must urgently implement FC vehicles in the field of commercial application following FC automobiles such as the TOYOTA MIRAI". On consignment from the Ministry of Environment, Tokyo R&D has developed an FC light-duty truck targeting a fuel efficiency that is 1.75 times more in CO_2 emission conversion than that of existing diesel vehicles and continues to validate the vehicle's basic performances and serviceability as a commercial vehicle to realize a basic form of FC light-duty trucks.
