摘要

Novel 12V battery for micro hybrid vehicle "12V BIND Battery" is proposed. The concept is to connect a small, high power Li-ion battery with wide voltage range (8.0-16.4V) to a lead acid battery without DC/DC converter. In this study, charge acceptance, cycle life and safety of 12V BIND Battery were investigated in accordance with JIS and EN stamdards. 12V BIND Battery has superior charge acceptance and cycle life compared to that of lead acid battery with similar or larger capacity and weight. Therefore, 12V BIND Battery is an optimal solution for advanced micro hybrid system.
