A functioning electromobility infrastructure plays a key role in future mobility concepts. This intended functioning is at risk, if the employed hardware and software components contain vulnerabilities, e.g., due to design flaws or the use of outdated algorithms and software products. Charging stations, which play a key role for the infrastructure, are typically located in public areas without any or with little supervision, thereby exposing them to the threat of physical and local attacks, As these stations communicate with the electromobility backend systems to exchange, for example, billing information, those backend services need to be protected from potentially compromised charging stations and vice versa. This paper describes a security analysis of one implementation of an electromobility infrastructure. The aim is to unravel attack vectors and vulnerabilities of the electromobility infrastructure to allow the development of proper counter measures, thus decreasing risk.
