Explain the essential points in 100 words or less. A new motor has been developed to mount in new-type model battery electric vehicles (BEV) and new-type model fuel cell vehicles (FCV). With the application of new magnetic circuits, a technique for fixing stator core laminations in place, suppression of case vibration modes, and new current control, maximum power was increased from 100 kW to 130 kW and maximum torque from 256 Nm to 300 Nm. Meanwhile motor noise inside the cabin was reduced by 5-10 dB(A) by comparison with previous motors. As a result of these measures, quietness and a smooth, powerful drive feel were achieved.
