摘要

This paper shows method of subsurface area sensing in very high frequency range (VHF) from the aboard plane. VHF backscatter imaging technology and airborne subsurface radar can detect buried targets nondestructively. There is a problem when searching for breaks in industrial underground utilities. If the investigated area is vast (for example, main lines), then contact exploration methods are not suitable due to the large time costs. Imitation model and simulation results were present for VHF airborne subsurface radar with synthetic antenna technique. Obtained results clearly demonstrate radar imaginary of pinpoint and distributed subsurface targets with synthetic aperture radar (SAR).
