摘要

Biomass to hydrogen is recently attracting great attention since demand of hydrogen as clean energy source is increasing,especially from the renewable and sustainable sources.Among all processes to obtain hydrogen from biomass,gasification combining with the steam tar reforming is considered as one of the most effective process.Tar is always generated from biomass pyrolysis process accompanying with the production of biochar.Chemical looping process is a new concept that can be applied to use the biochar as reducing agent to produce hydrogen using the redox of oxygen carrier.Herein,a novel process was proposed by combining of biomass pyrolysis,steam tar reforming,and chemical looping process.
