Research of Problems and Prospects of Development of Russian Space Monitoring Systems

this article examines the history of the development of the space monitoring system in Russia. The prerequisites for the origin of these systems are considered on the example of COSPAS/SARSAT and the first generation of Gonets. The state of these systems is analyzed and an attempt is made to predict the possible prospects for their development. The latest Icarus system, which is at the testing stage, is considered, its advantages and disadvantages are given. An assessment of the possible development of this space industry in Russia as a whole is given
