Therban HT - a polyamide reinforced HNBR with improved high temperature properties

Therban hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) is a specialty elastomer used in demanding applications in the mobility, industrial, and oil and gas markets. It has a combination of excellent heat, oil and abrasion resistance in addition to its high mechanical strength, and very good dynamic and compression set properties. Therban HT will be presented, which is a novel technology to improve the heat resistance of HNBR compounds with the use of plastic reinforcement, while maintaining media resistance.
