AUTOSAR(AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) is a worldwide development partnership to establish an open industry standard for the automotive software architecture between suppliers and manufacturers. The partnership include different types of stakeholders: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), suppliers, tool developers, and new market entrants. AUTOSAR has a layered architecture. In this architecture, Communication Stack or Com-Stack facilitates communication. ComStack can be defined as a software stack that provides communication services to the Basic Software Modules and Application Layer. The Ethernet communication network is incorporated with other communication networks such as CAN, LIN etc. to fulfill the AUTOSAR compliant requirements in modern automotives. The functionality of AUTOSAR TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) module in Ethernet communication network is the transmission and reception of Internet Protocol data. The TCP/IP Stack is a collection of networking protocols. The design and development of UDP(User Datagram Protocol) protocol in the transport layer of TCP/IP stack and its testing in AUTOSAR specific TCP/IP stack using Ethernet communication network is done.
