The Current Situation and Improved Methods of College Students’ Media Information Contact, Cognition and Communication

In the current new media environment of "everyone has a microphone", college students, as the main group staying on the network media for a long time, take the initiative to obtain information through multiple media channels, understand the media information according to their own learning and life experience, and then spread media information creatively. However, in this process, there are also some problems, such as the weak self-control awareness of college students when they contact with media information, the overestimation of their own media literacy level, and the lack of systematisms and sense of responsibility when disseminating media information. On this context, the author puts forward that college students’ ability of media contact, media cognition and media communication can be improved by training the thinking ability of the brain and understanding the media information objectively and comprehensively.
