A study of the application of TRIZ theory to the conceptualization phase of INPD design

In order to optimize and standardize the process of breakthrough product design, we find a new design method under the background of focusing on user-centered and innovative product design. In the research process, taking INPD as the main line of research, we study product innovation design under TRIZ theory. In this study, the improved design of fetal heart rate monitor is taken as an example to verify the application of the new design theory. At the Identifying stages of opportunity, we analyze existing product problems based on SET factors, and discover and understand the product design opportunities through the analysis of the needs, preferences and consumption power of the user group. In the conceptual design stage, TRIZ theory is used to deduce and concretize the corresponding invention principles, so as to obtain effective solutions. The application of the new design theory has improved the design of the fetal heartbeat instrument, thus achieving the desired effect. Therefore, it can be demonstrated that the application of TRIZ theory to the conceptualization phase of INPD design research is an innovative approach to product design.
