1.In India more than half of the country's total workforce is employed in the agricultural sector.2.It has been seen that most of the farmers are not capable to earn profit and commit suicide.Farmer suicides account for 11.2% of all suicides in India.The main causes behind that identified as failure of crops,debt burden and failure of bore well etc.3.In India there are more or less 9.87 millions farmers whereas 82% farmers are small and marginal farmers who have no other option of earning other than firming and their 30% firming expenses also ruined for costly irrigation like diesel pump etc.4.There are 19 million electrical pumps and about 9 million diesel pumps.(MoAFW,2015)
