Buck converter is commonly used as the charging control unit for the wireless charging system (WCS). To reduce the current stress, ripple current, and the volume of the Buck converter, this paper proposes a secondary-side interleaved Buck converter (IBC) and magnetic integrated coupler (MIC). Firstly, the working principle, losses analysis, and optimized control method for the IBC are illustrated. Secondly, the MIC is designed to contain the LCC series inductor and two filter inductors of the IBC, which is aimed to realize a compact WCS. Meanwhile, the integrated inductors that are decoupled with the transmitter and receiver do not influence the system power transfer. Finally, when compared with the commonly used Buck converter, the simulation results show that the ripple current is reduced to 70% through using the IBC.
