摘要

In this paper a Photovoltaic (PV) system design and performance of Al-Tafila center for care and rehabilitation (Jordan) is proposed and presented. A detailed grid connected Photovoltaic system design and analysis have been conducted and presented in this study. The comprehensive theoretical analysis and design criteria of the proposed PV system have been discussed. Main topics included, but not limited to, shading, temperature variation, radiation, and PV modules’ declination. The PV system has been simulated with PVsyst platform to optimize the energy conversion of PV system, and the simulation results show a correlation with those obtained theoretically. Furthermore, a cost analysis has been carried out in this paper; where a 20-years feasibility study is implemented which shows a short payback period and low Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). SketchUp and AutoCAD platforms are used for illustration purposes of 3D and 2D modeling and area selection.
