This paper takes the four-column frame structure of the 1000kN large-tonnage steel strand tensile testing machine as the object to conduct stability research. The theoretical critical load of the structure is calculated by the Euler formula, and the linear buckling analysis is conducted based on ANSYS Workbench. The comparison between the two results shows that the finite element analysis is feasible. On this basis, the nonlinear buckling analysis is performed. The result shows that the four-column structure has good stability, and it is found that the initial processing defects have a great influence on the structural bearing capacity.
