Importance of Education and Training for Sustaining Nuclear Security Program

摘要

There are several security challenges associated with nuclear facilities, nuclear fuel materials and radioactive materials. Therefore, understanding of nuclear security in terms of technical, policy and regulatory aspects is very important for achieving and maintaining globally a high level of safety and security at nuclear facilities. Human, technical and financial resources are necessary to ensure effective nuclear security. Along with education, comprehensive training programmes on nuclear security can strengthen nuclear security capabilities. This paper describes the role of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, India to establish and sustain nuclear security education and training program as well as to evaluate the future challenges.
