Geomechanical strength properties of rocks (static and dynamic elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, Young modulus, shear modulus, compressibility, elasticity limit, strength) were defined in conditions as close to the reservoir conditions. It is the most necessary information for solve of many problems of reserves estimation, field development, geological modeling, oil recovery enhancement. Static deformation and strength characteristics of rocks (determined by direct measurements of the longitudinal and transverse strain of sample), are the most reliable, and are reflect real properties of homogeneous and heterogeneous anisotropic rocks. The paper presents the main results of the study of static and dynamic characteristics of the rocks of the fields "LUKOIL-Western Siberia" at reservoir conditions. For the first time in Russia, in the laboratory of the branch OOO "LUKOIL-Engineering" "KogalymNIPIneft" was developed an optimized technique of research of the static deformation characteristics of rocks at reservoir conditions using AutoLab-1500. The paper presents brief technique and some results of a study of volume compressibility, pore compressibility, compressibility of the skeleton resulting from the research of rock samples from oil fields "LUKOIL-Western Siberia".
