The defogger affects on radiation patterns of the W-loop antenna attached on a rear window of a car

The W-loop antenna attached on a rear window of a car has been developed for the terrestrial TV service. In this paper, simulation conditions of a defogger and simulated results are shown. The electromagnetic simulator FEKO is employed and MLFMM (Multi Level Fast Multipole Method) scheme of MoM (Method of Moment) is applied. In the case of the simulation of a glass by MoM, it is shown contact of a metal and a glass must be taken care. As for the affects of a defogger on radiation patterns of the W-loop antenna, it is clarified that radiation pattern change is rather small. Only a slight reflection by a defogger is also clarified.
