A fast start-up algorithm for adaptive noisecancellers with novel SNR estimation and stepsize control has beenproposed. A new SNR estimate as a power ratio of the noise-cancelled signal to the reference-microphone signal has been in-troduced for fast start-up at high SNRs. Evaluations with speechand recorded noise have demonstrated that the start-up time is re-duced by 91% compared to the conventional algorithm.
