Activation of Polar Small Molecules and Synthesis of TheirPolymers based on Rational Design of Catalyst

摘要

Polar small molecules such as carbon monoxide,carbon dioxide,and polar vinylmonomers (ethylene derivatives substituted with esters,nitriles,hydroxyalkyl groups,etc.)have characteristic reactivity compared to nonpolar small molecules such as hydrogen andsimple olefins in metal-catalyzed reactions.In this award lecture,development of catalyticreactions based on activation of these small polar molecules will be presented.
