The quantitative determination of the oxygen concentration is essential to various practicalfields ranging from life sciences to environmental applications.1 Recently luminescentcyclometalated iridium(III) complexes (Ir(III)) have been applied as a sensing element for thispurpose.Ir(III) complexes are attracting a wide attention due to their highly emitting propertiesin a visible region.2 The previously reported sensing films were mostly prepared by the castingmethod.3
