Protection of alcohols are very important in multistep organic synthesis.Among them,silyl groups are the most frequently used protective groups for the alcohol function.Although there have been many methods for silylation of alcohols for decades,developmentof catalytic regio-and stereoselective silylation of alcohols is still one of syntheticallychallenging subjects.So far the non-enzymatic approaches by transition-metal catalysis ororganocatalysis were reported.On the other hand,enzymatic protecting group techniqueshave received significant attention from the aspect of green sustainable chemistry.However,there are few reports on the enzyme-catalyzed regio-and stereoselective silylation ofalcohols.In this research,we investigated the protection of alcohols with a silylating agentin the presence of lipase.
