Slow magnetic relaxations of paramagnetic compounds have attracted much attentionsdue to the fascinating applications to,for example,qubits for quantum computing andmolecular devises.Recently,despite no accessible excited magnetic states,slow relaxationphenomena based on effective spin Seff = 1/2 were reported.1 The relaxation behaviors havebeen rationalized though Raman,direct and QTM processes.2 However,the origin of thephenomena is still unclear due to the limited number of reports.For example,one of thereported mononuclear Cu(II) complex exhibited multiple relaxation behavior at lowtemperatures.3 In this presentation,the structure and static and dynamic magnetic propertiesof the distorted tetrahedral four-coordinate mononuclear Cu(II) complex havingbisisoindole bidentate ligands with terminal phenyl rings are reported.
