摘要

The light-harvesting and photoprotective functions are the important roles of carotenoids inthe primary processes of photosynthesis.However,the detailed mechanism of those functionsis not completely understood yet.Incorporating carotenoids into the reaction centers (RCs) isa promising method to investigate the function of the carotenoids in RCs.When this method isextended to several different kinds of carotenoids,it would be possible to understand how thecarotenoids fulfills its necessary function in RCs [1].
