摘要

The proper surface pretreatment before coating application plays vital role in durability and any protective or even aesthetic functions of the coatings.Different surface pretreatment methods were used on mild steel substrate prior to application of vinyltrimethoxysilane(VTMS).Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy(EIS),polarization and electrochemical noise measurement(ENM)techniques were employed to study the corrosion protection properties of the coatings.In addition,surface morphology of the coating samples was examined using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results showed that the coated sample pretreated by the means of titanat acidic solution had better film formation and corrosion resistance attributes.
