The Designing of Testing System for the Electric Load Management Center in More Electric Aircraft

This paper presents an integrated testing platform for verifying the function of Electric Load Management Center (ELMC) for aircraft power electrical system. The ELMC is the core device of Aircraft electrical power distribution system. In this paper, the hardware scheme based on PXI bus is proposed. The testing software which verifies the function of ELMC is developed by Labview software. The testing bench can be simulated by Aircraft management computer which sends the on/off commands of Electric load from ELMC to every device and receives the status information from Electric load to the ELMC. Such as rated current, fault protective information and so on. What's more, the power quality software is developed on the ELMC testing system to verify the function of ELMC. The function of overall testing system is verified by experimental results.
