摘要

An efficient and cost effective room heating system using intelligent controller has been designed in this paper. The purpose of the proposed controller is to sense the temperature of a room and actuate the heater to hold the temperature to a fixed desired value in a well-organized way. Firstly conventional Proportional Integral (PI) controller has been used for the purpose and furthermore Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based PI controller has improved the whole system’s transient response. The project work has been carried out in MATLAB simulink tool and consequently the ANN based controller has been shown to be an enhanced control strategy than the conventional one due to its better transient performance.
