Main Self-Educational Platforms in Russia and Skills that Can Be Develop Via Them

The paper is dedicated to information technologies in self-education usage. These technologies are very different and provide distinguish educational opportunities in many formats. In Russia Internet three main types of informational resources for self-education are platforms, that provide materials; MOOC platforms and separate platforms, that are alternative to regular education. As a result, each person has to choose the subject and the way of self-education. The set of the activities for information or course search and choose, helps people not just improve their knowledge in particular field, but also develop their personal characteristics, such as independence, decision making, planning and subjective control. Therefore, information technologies for self-education are important in remote regions. It can be one of the best educational opportunities for professional and self-development.
