Particulate photocatalyst sheet, a type of Z-scheme system using solid-state mediator, has become a hot topic as an innovative way to convert solar energy into renewable hydrogen. It is a simple and environmentally friendly catalyst type in heterogeneous catalytic system without further wastewater treatment. Particle transfer method and screen printing method have been used to fabricate photocatalyst sheets.1 However, those methods require considerably high vacuum, extra organic or noble metals additives. Herein, we focused on using a scalable and simple roll-to-roll method to fabricate the photocatalyst sheets based on metal substrates, and studied the water splitting activity of the SrTiO3:La,Rh/BiVO4:Mo photocatalyst sheets depends on substrate species and roll-to-roll pressure under visible light illumination.
