Synthesis of Zeolite and Layered Double Hydroxide from Steelmaking Slag

Iron and steel slag is a by-product generated in large quantities in the steel manufacturing process. It is necessary to develop new application methods to use steel slag as a valuable resource and to expand its demand. In this study, chemical recycling by separation and extraction of slag components was explored. X-ray analysis was carried out while chemically treating the slag components, and the synthesis of a functional material from slag was attempted.
