摘要

Pyrene is commonly used as a fluorophore due to the characteristic properties such as sensitive solvatochromism, long fluorescent decay, and high fluorescence quantum yield. We revealed that di(1-pyrenyl)methanol (1) showed fluorescence based on ICT at ca. 470 nm, though the conjugation between pyrenyl groups of 1 is broken and 1 is symmetric compound.
