摘要

Heterocycle compounds are used in wide fields including bioactive substances and functional materials. Previously, we found the organic salt formation by the cyclization of ortho-substituted alkynyl benzene derivatives bearing nucleophilic moieties with iodine.1 We are interested in the acceptor character of cationic moiety because those salts were stable. Herein, we report the iodocyclization reaction of the N-methyl-N-(2-(phenylethynyl)phenyl)thiobenzamides (1) to give the corresponding benzo[d][1,3]thiazinium salts (2) and their optical properties.
