Development of Thermal Lens Spectroscopy by Deep Ultraviolet Excitation for Label-Free and High-Sensitive Detection for Micro- Analysis
For the sensitive detection of non-labeled amino acids in solutions, a measurement system using a deep UV excitation thermal lens (TL) spectroscopy has been designed and constructed. A microfluidic device was introduced to measure substances in a small volume. This system was applied to semi-micro HPLC detection. The limit of detection (LOD) in absorbance was demonstrated that 5 times higher than UV detector.
