A New Proof for the Hückel's Rule using the Frontier Electron Theory

Huckel’s rule is a theorem that predicts the aromaticity, i.e., the stability of a compound having a cyclic (4n + 2) π-electron system. The proof of this theorem has been given by Huckel himself , who showed that the (4n + 2) π-electrons form a stable closed shell structure, whereas the (4n) π-electrons generate an unstable open shell structure.
