A fuel cell electrolyte membrane comprised of crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) containing sulfosuccinic acid (SSA) can suppress fuel crossover and is less expensive than Nafion . Therefore, it is expected to be a promising teaching material for the topic of fuel cells. In this study, we examined the preparation conditions in a school laboratory that would negate the required for cumbersome manipulation of the membrane material.
