Microstrip patch antennas are widely used in variety of wireless communication applications. This paper presents the design of a rectangular microstrip antenna using coaxial feed to operate at single or dual frequency band for GSM, GPS and Bluetooth applications. Square slot loading is done to obtain dual band operation. The antenna use 1.56 mm thick flame retarded 4 (FR-4) substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. The antenna is simulated using electromagnetic simulation software and the return loss for each antenna is noted and recorded.
