Failures of bushing caused by corrosive sulfur in mineral oils gradually appeared in recent years. Unlike copper winding of power transformer, bushing has unique structure. In this work, corrosion experiments under 130°C was carried out for bushing model at different concentration of dibenzyl disulfide (DBDS). The influence of corrosion time and DBDS concentration on the corrosion of copper core and aluminum foil was investigated. In addition, the generation of corrosion products of copper core and aluminum foil in oil was studied. Meanwhile, the effect of corrosion products on insulating properties was also discussed. The results shows that the corrosion of copper core and aluminum foil became severer when corrosion time and the concentration of DBDS increased. And the corrosion products of copper and aluminum could degraded the properties of insulation oil.
