The methods to form protective coatings by the plasma electrolytic oxidation method (PEO) in the electrolytic system containing nanosized particles of titanium nitride has been develoted. Tribological and morfological studies of the composite coatings have been carried out. It has been established that the microhardness of the coating with nanoparticles concentration of 3 g/1 increases by 2 folds, while the wear resistance - by 2.2 fold, as compared to respective values for the PEO-coating formed in the electrolyte without nanoparticles.
