Optimal design and efficient wind park layout on a given area of land interconnected with electric utility, EU, involve several complex optimization problems. Multi-objective functions, based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) techniques for optimal design and optimal farm layout in Zafarana site, Suez Gulf, are presented. Firstly, the objective function is to find the optimal number of wind turbines to produce a specific annual energy demand. Secondly, minimizing the wake effect to achieve the optimal placement of the installed wind turbines is attained based on the binary PSO. In addition, the optimal number of EU's feeders to minimize the cost of the kilowatt-hour generated is calculated. A capacity outage probability table is implemented to find the load loss expectation. Further, the wake loss model is represented by Jensen-based model, and the economic model is based on the system annual cost concept. A comprehensive numerical example considering an industrial case is presented.
