This is a project supported by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Tainan City Government, which is about to input design resources to an aging, traditional Siraya indigenous village-Soulang Beitouyang. To create new fashion Brand inspired by Siraya Indigenous culture which is the main discussion of this paper. The purpose of the project is to find creative inspiration for future product design themes from within the culture of Siraya indigenous community. The participants found creative inspiration in the beautiful Siraya “embroidered cross” as well as the linguistic expression “Tabe” which means in English to extend greetings to another or to send one's respects to someone. Tabe is now a brand name. It is hoped that this brand name, as well as the new products inspired by it, will attract a whole new generation of local designers that will participate in the development and expansion opportunities of this new local industry.
