Deformed TiO aggregate/Au nanoparticles (DTA/AuNPs) photoanode applied for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) was investigated. For comparison, TiO (P25), DTA and TiO (P25) doped Au nanoparticles (P25/AuNPs) photoanodes were discussed. The DSSC with P25/AuNPs photoanode exhibits a high short circuit current density of 5.56 mA/cm, a fill-factor of 0.6328 and a power conversion efficiency of 2.40%, which suggests that the enhancement of power conversion efficiency and fill-factor would be contributed by the LSPR effect of AuNPs and the decrease of internal connecting resistance in the photoelectrode film.
