摘要

A simulation procedure of the plasma sheath and its scattering property by a hypervelocity object is presented. First, the simulated electron density and gas temperature of the plasma sheath are found in reasonable agreements with experiment results. Then the complex dielectric constants of the plasma domain are calculated by using the simulated flow field data. Finally, the influence of the plasma sheath on the backscattering property is evaluated for an incident plane wave at 1 GHz.
